Sintra Full Experience - Pena National Palace - Cabo da Roca - Cascais

Magical day discovering Sintra and its Cultural Landscape World Heritage. This is a special experience designed to offer you an unique and relax day out. In the morning around 9AM, we pick you up from your accommodation in Lisbon. About 40 mins drive to get to Sintra to visit the impressive National Palace of Pena with wonderful views from this Moon Mountain. There's an optional walk through the forest around the Moors Castle to Sintra Town center. Lunch time in a lovely place to enjoy a delicious meal in Sintra town center with superb views. You'll also have free time to explore the town afterwards. Finally we continue our road trip to Cabo da Roca, the most western part of Europe. On our way to Lisbon, we will contemplate the amazing views of Cascais coastline. Estimated arrival time in Lisbon 5PM.

Belém and The Monastery of Jerónimos

Exclusive access to the cloister of the Monastery of Jerónimos, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its unique Portuguese Gothic architecture. We discover the exclusive factory of Pastéis de Belém from 1837. We'll take a pleasant walk along the Tagus river to see historical spots and monuments, like the sculpture dedicated to the Golden Age of the Portuguese Empire. Finally, we will get to Belém Tower to contemplate this amazing monument and discover the secrets that hold.

Alfama Sunset walking tour

The oldest quarter. Surrounded by hidden walls and pathways within a design of labyrinthine narrow streets. The quiet atmosphere you can breathe when discovering each corner of my itinerary through an arabic medina , the born place of Fado music. Feeling about the past of unique moments. From Praça do Comercio, the entrance to Europe of all kinds of goods brought from all the Portuguese Empire back in the XVI century, we head to Alfama, to find out the oldest building, the Cathedral. From here, we will travel back in time. The icing on the cake will be the incredible views of Lisbon.

Cycling from the heart of Lisbon to Belém

To start from Marqués de Pombal, we head up to the fabulous view point Eduardo VII to contemplate where the origin of Lisbon began and after we descend the valley by the luxury Avenida da Liberdade to Restauradores Square, where the independence from Spain was accomplished in 1640. Right next to Rossio square, the traditional Ginginha. We continue to the magnificent square Praça do Comercio and follow the river to Belém.
The 25th of April bridge, the vanguardist design of the MAAT. We continue to the monument dedicated to the Age of discovery and finally to Belém Tower where we finish the tour and leave the bikes.

NOTE We will use the public bikes, Bicicletas de Lisboa. Before the tour, you will have to install the GIRA APP on your phone and complete the registration process to get the bike when starting the tour. Meeting point (Marques de Pombal roundabout by the Gira bike station).
The "day pass "to rent out the bike can only be purchased through PayPal payment.

The Bohemian Lisbon

Discover Lisbon to begin from the Estrela neighborhood with its glorious garden and Basilica. We will travel back to the age of Portuguese overseas discovery thanks to Álvares Cabrales.
To Principe Real and Barrio Alto, we visit a lovely view point, São Pedro de Alcântara, to contemplate the oldest part of Lisbon and Saint George Castle. Unmissable, Largo do Carmo, the terrible history of the earthquake back in 1755 and much more. Finally, we will head to Rossio to admire the Portuguese Gothic architecture from the early XVI century.

Cristo Rey Walk

Let’s walk along the river Tagus discovering old ruins, street art, secrets pathways to finally reach to the top of the Cristo Rey hill in Almada where the views of Lisbon are just stunning. After 1,5 hour approximately, we head for lunch into the old town in Almada to enjoy a delicious Portuguese food in a traditional restaurant. Starting in the meeting point, Cais do Sodre ferry station. We will get the boat to Cacilhas. Walking tour and optional lunch in this little town.

So many options, from planning your day out in Lisbon with a food tasting, walking tour, cycling or even sailing to see the sunset over the Tagus river with a glass of champagne!
What about visiting Almada to explore the town and also visit the impressive sanctuary of Christ the King and the spectacular views of Lisbon.
Also, I can take you to Sintra and show you some palaces (Quinta da Regaleira my favourite) and much more.
Maybe going to Cabo Espichel and going through the Arrábida Natural Park to get to Setubal and enjoy the traditional choco frito!
Maybe you would prefer hiking in Sintra Forest or Monsanto in Lisboa and enjoy a traditional Portuguese food like delicious cod dishes, tasty açorda, rices, mirandela steak, pica- pau, alheiras and of course the delicious homemade desserts.
Visiting the most western point in Europe, Cabo da Roca, where the land ends and the sea begin “Luis de Camões”. From there, we do an amazing hike to the most scenic Sintra beaches, such as Ursa and Adraga to contemplate one of the most beautiful sunsets with a glass of wine always!
