I fell in love with Lisbon’s fascinating history, rich culture and unique charm. My passion is sharing the stories, traditions and hidden treasures that make this city so special.

Belém walking tour with Monastery of Jeronimos

Exclusive access to the cloister of the Monastery of Jerónimos, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its unique Portuguese Gothic architecture. We discover the unique factory of Pastéis de Belém from 1837. We’ll take a pleasant walk along the Tagus river to see historical spots and monuments, like the sculpture dedicated to the Golden Age of the Portuguese Empire. Finally, we will get to Belém Tower to contemplate this amazing monument and discover the secrets that hold.

Lisbon walking tour

The oldest quarter. Surrounded by hidden walls and pathways within a design of labyrinthine narrow streets. The quiet atmosphere you can breathe when discovering each corner of my itinerary through an arabic medina , the born place of Fado music. Feeling about the past of unique moments. From Praça do Comercio, the entrance to Europe of all kinds of goods brought from all the Portuguese Empire back in the XVI century, we head to Alfama, to find out the oldest building, the Cathedral. From here, we will travel back in time.

If you want to experience Lisbon from a uniquely personal perspective, just like how your best friend would show you a city - then go for it!! If on the other hand you like more the impersonal, tour-bus style crowded guided tours, then this is definitely not for you. It’s also very active, we biked around a lot! :))

Wow! Where do I begin? Angela is a wonderful human who will make you feel at home from the moment you meet her. The experience felt like I was meeting up with an old friend. I was so grateful to have her company and expert commentary as we walked along the streets of Alfama and Graca. I was impressed by her ability to withhold so much history, her effortless delivery and storytelling and her sense of direction. I had so much fun! I booked this experience on my very last day and it was an incredible send off. I also now have a list of places I want to explore further the next time I am in Lisbon. After the tour we had dinner and drinks at an incredible Portuguese spot. Bummed I didn’t meet Angela at the beginning of my journey in Lisbon, but look forward to our paths crossing again in the future. You must book this tour to get the most out of your time in Alfama/Graca —1000% recommend!
